Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support Residential Support Workers in providing high-quality care.
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the residential setting.
- Provide person-centered care and support tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and medication administration.
- Monitor and assess residents’ physical and emotional well-being, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and that all concerns are reported correctly.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and professionals.
- Support residents with household tasks, meal preparation, and daily routines.
- Foster a safe and inclusive living environment for all residents.
- Organize and facilitate social activities and community engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential support or care role.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in supervising or leading a team (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to undergo training).
- A valid driver’s license (preferred but not essential).
