Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support Residential Support Workers in providing high-quality care.
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the residential setting.
  • Provide person-centered care and support tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and medication administration.
  • Monitor and assess residents’ physical and emotional well-being, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and that all concerns are reported correctly.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and professionals.
  • Support residents with household tasks, meal preparation, and daily routines.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive living environment for all residents.
  • Organize and facilitate social activities and community engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential support or care role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to undergo training).
  • A valid driver’s license (preferred but not essential).
