Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the residential care team to ensure high standards of care and support.
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations within the residential setting.
- Develop and implement person-centered care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and that all concerns are addressed appropriately.
- Monitor and assess residents’ physical and emotional well-being, intervening when necessary.
- Conduct staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews to maintain a high standard of service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and care standards.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive living environment for all residents.
- Liaise with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to support the needs of residents.
- Organize and facilitate social and community engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential or semi-independent setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a care setting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle complex situations.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies, regulatory frameworks, and best practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to undergo training).
- A valid driver’s license (preferred but not essential).
